Solo YouTube Contest Rules

All video submissions must be posted to YouTube between September 15, 2008 and February 13, 2009.
All videos must show either the can of Solo or jar of Baker filling used in the recipe.
All videos must either mention "Solofoods.com" verbally on the video or have it displayed graphically in some manner.
Ten (10) videos will be chosen by a panel of Solo judges. The ten (10) videos chosen will then move on to round two. Note: The number of views your video has will be one of the factors taken into consideration. In round two, three winners will be chosen by the SoloFoods.com audience: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place . Public voting will start February 25, 2009 and last for one week .
The winners will be contacted on or around March 6, 2009 - note new notification date- as well as announced on this website.
Both Individual and Group Submissions are allowed, however group submissions must have a main point of contact.

Employees and relatives of Sokol and Company are not eligible to participate in the contest.
Upon submittal, all videos become the property of Sokol and Company and the creator relinquishes all ownership and rights to the video.

Recipe Requirements

The recipe must be an original creation of the contestant appearing in the video and one that has not been previously published in a cookbook, website, magazine, etc. unless the recipe features changes that are considered significant by the judges. The finalist will be required to certify to their information or belief, that the recipe has not been published or publicized in another cooking contest.
The recipe must be easy to prepare.
The recipe must feature Solo or Baker brand fruit and nut cake, pastry and dessert fillings (any of 13 offered flavors).
The final product should be delicious, creative and eye-appealing.
Contestants agree that if selected as a winner, the recipe will become the property of Solo Foods, Inc.

Video Requirements

All videos must be between 30 and 120 seconds long and contain the following information:

Creativity and humor is encouraged! Created “personas”, outlandish scenery and settings, costumes, props, etc. will be judged favorably.
Videos should not exceed 2 minutes in length.
The video must be uploaded to YouTube to participate in the contest. Solo Foods will not review files e-mailed to them.
Each step of the recipe should be demonstrated and narrated in the video.
Although more than one person may appear in the video, the recipe must be prepared in its entirety on film by a single person.
"SoloFoods.com" must be mentioned or displayed visually on the video.
Videos must be tasteful and family oriented. Videos containing anything else will be disqualified.

* A one-year supply of Solo Dessert filling is one (1) case of filling per month for twelve months.
** A half-year supply of Solo Dessert filling is one (1) case of filling per month for six months.
